6093 - 9/19 2024 The City of Hoopeston will be holding a meeting to allow the public to comment on the proposed Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) project. The open house will be held at the Hoopeston City Hall, 301 West Main Street on September 26, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All persons interested are invited to attend. The proposed improvement consists of the construction of a five foot sidewalk and pedestrian bridge starting from South Sixth Avenue and traveling west to IL Route 1. These improvements will meet the American Disability Act requirements to allow pedestrians to safely commute to various businesses in Hoopeston. The meeting will be conducted on an informal basis, with a brief project summary on the status of the project. The City of Hoopeston and MAS Engineering will be present to discuss any project details and answer questions.
